Saturn in all houses

Saturn is one of Vedic astrology’s most feared and talked about planets. In Hindi, we call Saturn Shani, which means slow. True to its name, Saturn actually slows down things.

Key aspects of planet Saturn

Saturn rules two zodiac signs named Capricorn and Aquarius. The planet has three important aspects or dristhi, i.e., 3rd, 7th, and 10th. It is airy and dry by nature. Saturn denotes darkness and the color black. It shows restrictions, pain, misery, mundane activities, discipline, and fear.

Being a functional malefic, Saturn is often associated with delays and obstacles, but when it comes to giving results, Saturn offers definite outcomes and not short-term results.

Saturn rules old age people, workers, the labour class, and servants. In places, it is said to denote warehouses, storage spaces, waste, litter, etc. In the matter of profession, Saturn can show barbers, lawyers, people working in jails, processing units, transport sector, plumbers, construction workers, etc.

Now, coming to the results of Saturn placement. We will look into the possible predictions for each house based on the placement of Saturn.

Saturn in 1st house

The 1st house represents the self. This is not the best placement for Saturn. Saturn excels at working for others, at the cost of self. So obviously, when it is given the 1st house, it creates some problems for the native. The native can have low self-esteem and confidence. The native can feel difficulty asserting power, and hence they may often end up humiliating themselves in front of others.

The good part is that in this placement, Saturn can make the native hard-working and disciplined if Saturn is placed in a good sign (own, friendly sign, or in the sign of Jupiter). Such natives will have the ability to lead.

If Saturn is weak then it causes career struggles and health issues. Native can be grief-stricken and pessimistic. These natives must try not to overburden themselves.

Saturn in 2nd house

In the 2nd house, Saturn sits in the friendly energy of Venus. The 2nd house rules savings, assets, family, speech, etc. Saturn is good at managing finances but not very good with people. The person can have a difficult childhood and an introverted behavior. It’s possible that the native is not very expressive with their family. In some cases, it could mean living at a distance from the homeland.

Regarding finance, this placement can give an initial struggle with saving money. If the 2nd lord is very strong, then the results will get balanced. However, the native will grow to become rich by self-assertion in time. The results can be really good in the second half of life.

Being close to lagna, this placement can also give a lonely and cold personality to the native. They can be reserved with their speech.

Saturn in 3rd house

The third house belongs to the siblings, neighbors, strength, intellect, skills, etc. The third house is also an upachaya (improving) house. Saturn can give good results in this house especially in long run.

With this placement, natives will have a practical relationship with friends and relatives. They will not overindulge and can be a bit reserved. Good for technical skill development and paperwork. These people can have good knowledge of the law and may find comfort in clerical work as well.

The native can be in professions like a barber, a shoemaker, in processing units, cargo, clerical work, banking jobs, etc.

Saturn in the 4th house

The 4th house is the home environment, peace, comfort, luxuries, the masses, the mother, etc. Saturn gives mixed results in this house. The house has the energy of the moon, and hence, Saturn can cause slight distress in the emotional well-being of the native.

The good part of the placement is that it gives land and property in the latter half of your life. It can connect you to the masses and hence is a very good yoga if you want to enter politics, social media, real estate agency, work from home kind of jobs, etc.

The bad part of the placement is that the native can have anxiety issues. One may always feel insecure and vulnerable. You may not find peace in your own home space.

Saturn in the 5th house

The 5th house is the house of past life karma (purvapunya), progeny, intellect, education, learning, fame, luck, etc. In other words, it is one of the most auspicious houses of your chart.

Saturn brings in struggle and pain. Obviously, it won’t perform the best in the house of luck and past life karma. Saturn will make the native hardworking by bringing in continuous struggles in life. The person will be disciplined, though. In the long run, the person will gain positions and power through hard work and discipline. This is the positive aspect of the placement.

The love life can be a bit cold. Maturity and responsibility will take over the romantic part of the relationship.

Saturn in the 6th house

The sixth house is the house of debt, diseases, and enemies. Saturn in the sixth house can give a profession where you deal with these things.

This is a good placement for banking, loaning, trading, law, and similar professions. The person will be very hardworking and will burn out their karma by helping other people. They can be rigid with their finances but will be liberal with physical efforts.

There can be health issues. The gut health may not be that good. If there are fire elements then the situation may be a bit different.

Saturn in the 7th house

The seventh house is the house of marriage, legal partnerships, etc. This house opposed the 1st house of self. Hence, Saturn performs really well in this placement. It is because Saturn does not work for itself but more for other people. This placement is good if someone wants to join politics, be in a profession dealing with other people, legal partnerships.

For marriage, it is not so good. The romance part will be out of the equation, and responsibilities will keep the marriage alive. Sometime partner will be the reason for humiliation if Saturn is afflicted or ill placed.

Saturn in the 8th house

The 8th house is the house of longevity, transformation, occult, mysteries, hidden secrets, etc. Saturn will increase longevity in this placement.

The native will have an inclination towards dark and mysterious things. One may have hidden addictions which the may hide from others.

The profession may involve dealing with secrets, gains/losses (stock, life insurance, etc.), the crude oil or gas industry, transportation, oil rigs, hydrocarbons, metals, police department, secret services, etc.

Saturn in the 9th house

The 9th house belongs to the guru or teacher. It is the house of luck, fortune, dharma (righteousness), knowledge, wisdom, and happiness. It is a beautiful house, and when it is strong in the chart then it gives the ability to overcome all difficulties in life.

Saturn does not actually believe in luck. Here, Saturn makes dharma a karmic goal. So the native can be very rigid when it comes to following a teacher, tradition, or belief system. The native will try to find their luck through hard work. They will try to follow in the footsteps of their ancestors.

The path to finding happiness in life may not be that easy, but one will find prosperity through effort, especially in the later part of life.

Saturn in the 10th house

The 10th house is the house of karma, career, and status in society. Saturn in the 10th house gives you a lot of pending karma. You are meant to work and burn out all your negative karma in this life.

Saturn in the 10th house may always put you in situations where you need to pull out of your comfort zone and work. If you utilize this opportunity and work hard, then it will give you a lot of benefits in the second phase of your life. You must also see the 4th house in this case. If 4th is stronger compared to 10th, then you may choose your comfort zone over career and status in society.

Saturn in the 11th house

The 11th house is the house of gains, desires, profits, friends, and social circle. Saturn in the 11th house will increase gains/profits as you age. In other words, it is a good placement, but it may take time to manifest.

You may not have a huge friend circle, but the people in your group can be hardworking and helpful by nature (if Saturn is well placed in a friendly sign).

This position can lead to significant wealth, and your financial well-being will continue to grow over time. You will grow through your own efforts. It is a good place for trading and finance.

Saturn in the 12th house

The 12th house is the house of losses, expenditures, foreign travels, isolation, sleep, etc. In some ways, this house resonated with the qualities of Saturn.

Saturn will increase losses and reduce your sleep quality in this house. So you may always find yourself restless. This placement of Saturn required you to seek isolation and meditate. That is the way to find peace within. If you focus too much on your desires and don’t practice discipline, then this placement will bring pain.

This placement is suitable for a job in foreign lands or in professions related to research, auditing, spiritual teachings/NGOs, trade, water/oil transport, law enforcement, healthcare, foreign relations, and other similar fields.

These are some generalized results of Saturn placement in different houses. One must take into account the other factors, like sign placement, houses owned by Saturn, other good and bad yogas, before reaching to the final conclusion.
